Reboul, no doubt discouraged by the Panthers' move down to D-III, leaving the Big South Conference, and cancellation of the season due to so many player transfers, retires with a 402-124 record in 17 years, including two NAIA national championships in 1990 and 1995, and 12 20-win seasons. He was twice named Big South Conference Coach of the Year. He will stay with the school as a physical education instructor. Mitch Cole, Reboul's top assistant for the past eleven seasons, will take the helm in D-III for 2007-08. |

SMU hired Florida Atlantic head coach Matt Doherty as head coach. Doherty was 15-13 for one season at FAU, and previously was head coach at North Carolina and Notre Dame, with an overall record of 90-71 in five seasons.

Head coach Jimmy Tubbs was fired after an investigation uncovered NCAA violations. In two seasons, SMU was 27-30, 13-16 this past season. Prior to his hiring, Tubbs was an SMU assistant for 12 seasons. |

Pennsylvania head coach Fran Dunphy has been hired to be head coach at Temple. In 17 seasons at Penn, Dunphy won 10 Ivy League championships and led the Quakers to nine NCAA tournaments. He went 310-163 and won three Big 5 titles.

Longtime Hall-of-Fame head coach John Cheney announced his retirement, effective end of season. Cheney, who had a 17-14 record this season, will lead the Owls into the NIT Tournament this week. Cheney, a two-time national coach of the year, has a record of 516-252 at Temple in 24 seasons, and 716 wins overall. |

Assistant coach Scott Cross was named head coach. Cross, a former UT-A player, has been an assistant with the program for the past seven seasons. As a player, Cross started 58 games, and averaged 12 points per contest in 1997-98, his senior season.

Eddie McCarter resigned following the Mavericks' opening-round loss double-overtime loss to Sam Houston State in the Southland Tournament. UTA was 14-16 this season, and McCarter was 179-211 in 14 seasons. |

Arizona State assistant coach Brooks Thompson has been named head coach. Thompson was at Arizona State for two seasons, and coached Yavapai College to a 55-14 mark in two seasons. He played at both Texas A&M and Oklahoma State, and was selected by the Orlando Magic in the 1994 NBA Draft.

D-III Sul Ross State head coach Doug Davalos has accepted the head coaching position at Texas State. Davalos led Sul Ross State to a 72-35 overall record in four seasons, with three straight division championships and four consecutive post-season appearances.

Head coach Dennis Nutt announced his resignation effective end of season. Nutt led the Bobcats to a 3-23 record (1-14 Southland) this season, and ends up with a 72-95 record in six years. |

UNC-Wilmington head coach Brad Brownell has been named new head coach of the Raiders. Brownell spent four seasons as head coach at UNC Wilmington, leading the Seahawks to two NCAA Tournaments and an 83-40 overall record.

Paul Biancardi announced yesterday that he will resign as the Raiders' coach. The NCAA had slapped him with a one-and-a-half year ban on recruiting after the organization determined his role in unethical practices at Ohio State while an assistant. In two seasons at Wright State, Biancardi led the Raiders to a 27-29 record. |
