Tournament Rules
This contest is not intended to be used as a gambling device, but strictly
for entertainment purposes only. The NCAA does not promote, endorse
or condone gambling or sports wagering of any kind. The NCAA membership
has adopted specific legislation prohibiting athletic department staff
members, conference office staff, national office staff and student-athletes
from engaging in sports gambling activities as they relate to intercollegiate
or professional sporting events.

1. MEANS OF ENTRY: Entries will be accepted from 8:00 AM Eastern Time on March
12, 2002 until prior to the tip-off of the first tournament game, at 12:00 PM
Eastern, March 14, 2002.

2. METHOD: Entrants will pick who they think will win every game
in the 2002 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament. Points will
be earned for each game picked correctly. Point values increase as the
tournament progresses toward the men's championship game.

3. ENTRY Identical entries from the same individual
will not be accepted. Multiple entries are permitted from one individual,
so long as each entry is unique. No Tournament Challenge materials shall be returned.

4. WINNER SELECTION The First Prize winner shall be the individual that has accumulated the highest number of points in the tournament. The Second Prize winner shall be the individual that has accumulated the second highest number of points in the tournament. The Third Prize winner is the individual that has accumulated the third highest number of points in the tournament. The Fourth Prize winner is the individual that has accumulated the fourth highest number of points in the tournament. The Fifth Prize winner is the individual that has accumulated the fifth highest number of points in the tournament. In the event of a tie for any of the aforementioned places, the Total Points tiebreaker will be invoked, which is the combined score of the Championship game as entered on each bracket. The participant with the closest score to the actual combined final score shall be awarded the higher of the two places in question. In the event that both contestants are equidistant from the actual score, the second tie break becomes the greater number of games selected correctly in the First Round (maximum number of 32). The third tie break becomes the greater number of games selected correctly in the Second Round (maximum number of 16). The fourth tie break becomes the greater number of games selected correctly in the Third Round (maximum number of 8). The fifth tie break becomes the greater number of games selected correctly in the Fourth Round (maximum number of 4). If, after this tie break, there still exists a tie, then the contestants will be queried as to whether they would like to equally divide the prizes, or will be given the opportunity to allow a coin-flip to determine final places.

5. PRIZES: The First Prize winner shall receive a $100 gift certificate to any FootLocker, Lady FootLocker, or Kids FootLocker retail outlet, or www.footlocker.com. The Second Prize winner will receive a $50 gift certificate to any Papa John's Pizza retail establishment or electronic purchase at www.papajohns.com. The Third Prize winner will receive a 1-year subscription to Gear magazine. The Fourth Prize winner shall receive 4 free passes to the Desert Botanical Garden, located in Phoenix Arizona, and the Fifth Prize winner shall receive a copy of Adam D. Shandler's upcoming book "Coaching Ira". The winners will be notified by phone and email no later than Thursday, April 4th, 2002, if they have not already claimed their prize.

6. ELIGIBILITY: This promotion is open to all participants
that are 18 years or older as of the date of entry. Employees of Hoopville and Adam D. Shandler enterprises are not eligible for this contest.
