What's new this year? Read on! First of all, the 2001 Hoopville Challenge! is all digital, all the time. So not only can you make all of your bracket selections right here, but you can check your results, and even have them sent to you via a text page. We bring you personalization. You will have your own secure log-in and password that you specify. You'll get not only where you are in the standings, but also what your picks were, which upsets did you pick correctly, and a rundown of upcoming games. You'll know the score with several available update profiles. Not to mention those scoreboard-type things over to your left. You can choose to get an email update as each game result is posted, or break up that conference call with a text page with the breaking news! You can also receive a digest of the day's landslides and upsets, and you can edit your profile to add or change these email profiles. News and notes, oddities and abstractions, plus cool Hoops links and interactivity with our Hoopville Bracket gurus. We'll also have our own Hoops Challenge feature articles that you can enjoy at home or at the office. Keep your eye on the clock! Every page has the countdown clock showing how many minutes until the start of the tournament (and how long you have to get your entries in). Once the First Round tips off, the clock will be reset with the countdown to the Final Game. Brush up on your college mascots. Are you rooting for the Thunderbirds? Or how about the Hilltoppers? Are you a Crusader with the Pride? Or maybe you're just hanging with the Sycamores. You'll proceed step-by-step through each round, making your selections all the way to the Final Four! So what if you don't know anything about basketball? This is capital-f Fun! Besides, ususally the "experts" can't predict what'll happen over the course of 64 games in 3 weeks. Last year's winner didn't even follow the regular season, but chose the eventual National Champion because a relative was a graduate of Michigan State.
